US 29 Bridge, Ramps and Retaining Walls
Maryland State Highway Administration
RJM provided structural design for twelve retaining walls to support the ramps at US 29/Randolph Road Interchange, and Ramp “E” bridge, a 141 foot long rigid frame concrete structure with special architectural treatments. RJM also provided design for 4-lane Musgrove Road over US 29, a two-span steel and concrete structure with full depth abutments.
Halifax Road Bridge
Virginia Department of Transportation
Design for Halifax Road Bridge, a new 2-lane 3-span steel and concrete bridge over CSXT tracks in Petersburg, Virginia. The design used integral abutments and 3-column piers. Dynamic modeling for seismic loads was incorporated in the structural analysis and design of the bridge.
Becca Lilly Park Pedestrian Bridge
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission
Final design for 30-foot span pedestrian bridge over a tributary of Northwest Branch in Bethesda. Superstructure utilized Continental steel truss structure. Design services also included flood plain studies, scour analysis and obtaining federal/state permits.
