Old Court Metro Maintenance Facility
Maryland Transit Administration
Structural design of 2-story Metro maintenance building and “double-wall” retaining wall. The building design utilized a combination of structural shear walls and fixed moment connections to resist unbalanced horizontal earth pressure. Floor slabs were designed to accommodate maintenance vehicles and equipment storage. Also provided design for track vehicle inspection pits and employee parking lot.
Argonne Walkway
Morgan State University
Provided design for paved walkway with streetscaping and lighting. Also designed new parking lot, reconfigured existing parking lot, and realigned Perimeter Road.
McKinley Technology High School
Washington, D.C.
Preliminary and final design for the rehabilitation of McKinley Technology High School in Washington, D.C. Design services included structural modification of existing building, design of cantilever type sliding security gate, upgrade of HVAC, and safety improvements to stairways and roof snow guards.
