Intercounty Connector
Maryland State Highway Administration
In the planning and preliminary engineering phases of this new 18.8-mile 6-lane toll facility, RJM provided horizontal and vertical alignment studies, interchange alternative development, design concepts for five bridges, design for stormwater management facilities/storm drains/cross culverts, and maintenance of traffic. RJM is currently providing services on the General Engineering Consultant team for hydrology/hydraulics and geotechnical inspections.
I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) Widening
Maryland State Highway Administration
RJM provided final design for I-695 Outer Loop widening from Ingleside Avenue to south of MD 144. Services included geometrics and roadway design, new pavement construction, and pavement overlay. Design services also included widening and vertical alignment adjustments for modifications of Edmondson Avenue interchange ramps.
McKenzie Road
Howard County Department of Public Works
Preliminary and final design of McKenzie Road with traffic calming features that included two roundabouts. Services also included design for new closed storm drainage system and closed curb and gutter, maintenance of traffic, signing and marking, and erosion/sediment control plans.
