Planning and Preliminary Engineering for Maglev
Maryland Transit Administration
Development of Maglev (Magenetic Levitation) alignment and corridor studies between Baltimore and Washington, DC. Design services included preparation of alternative guide way alignments, special stream and roadway crossing structures, tunnels for crossing under BWI Airport, concept layouts for stations, and capital cost analysis.
Baltimore Central Light Rail Double Tracking
Maryland Transit Administration
Track alignment design for adding a second track, grade crossing design, drainage design and utility relocation design for Baltimore Central Light Rail. RJM contributed to the design for all eight sections of these construction projects.
Norfolk Light Rail
Hampton Roads Transit
RJM provided final design for horizontal geometry and profiles for vehicle storage yard, maintenance facility and lead track. RJM also provided design for access roads, paved parking areas, sidewalks, retaining walls, major culvert, drainage and stormwater management facilities, and erosion/sediment control.
